javascript - Open link in different browser -

is possible open link in different browser? example, our users using chrome, need link intranet app built run in ie only. is possible create hyperlink/razor actionlink open ie after it's clicked on in chrome?

short answer: nope.

there might hacks allows you're on own then.

update:
come think of it... seems in locked down environment. there possibility every ie user has application tied specific uri scheme (see comment on q) might open ie purpose. (say flash installed ie not other browsers , ask flash specific uri - ie opens) can clever hack recognize coming or going , double summersault , show intranet site.

remember though cannot make hack perfect might work 90% of users , enough.

but instead take whole subject managers , tell them why 1 uses standards , happens when 1 doesn't program love , why should have listened geeks 10 years ago when decided ie6 enough everyone.
(i still paying debts since - didn't push through in board room i/we pay now.)
