html - How can a designer with no MVC experience design a web app? -

i worked freelance designer create static version of application. after integrating in end code (django), option see him continue working on have him copy development environment. isn't option designer - isn't willing work end code.

my first option rid of him , more competent designer, i'm not happy doing that. there tools can leverage allow him contribute front end code (html/css).

everything nicely packaged (virtualenv + requirements make breeze set up), setting database might pretty rough knowledge of html/css. thinking serving website computer common dropbox folder - i'm pretty sure wouldn't need restart server see changes in html/css (correct me if i'm wrong!). there big flaws this? or better yet - there elegant solutions out there problem?

thanks!

edit: make explicitly clear.

1.) backend developer.

2.) designer wrote of front end code, want him continue.

3.) front end code rendered backend wrote, hence, designer/front end developer need install development environment (which looking solutions asking question).

dropbox no way share , version code. take @ git code sharing , versioning (there's nice gui every os, he'll manage). can outline steps him deploy own system (e.g. git clone, rake db:create, rake db:migrate, rails s) in kind of document , you'll both , running.

if want make easy him, set small webserver on clone code, can work there, see changes , after day's work, can merge efforts his.
