java ee - Maven not showing libraries -


when right click on project , go maven > add depedency says "artifact id cannot empty". can't search if write "hibernate" shows 3 options (none including hibernate validator) yet if write @ group id: org.hibernate, artifact-id: hibernate-validator , version: 4.2.0.final knows download (i can find them under libraries > maven dependencies.

anyone knows why happens?thank you. forgot mention i'm beginner regarding java ee , maven etc.

i don't think true , display results on basis of search criteria. more please see attached image.
