Which major Java-based business rule engines have compatible rule languages? -


i aware of several used business rules systems implemented in java (e.g., jess, odm/jrules, drools) , several proposed standards representing business rules (e.g., production rule representation (prr), rule interchange format (rif)). have possibility of changing 1 business rule system without rewriting business rules. of major business rule systems have compatibility others, , using formats? far, i'm not aware of any. rule formats i've seen product-specific.

this tricky question answer depends highly upon each product's support given standards features being used in specific engine migrating away from.

are trying migrate 1 system another? trying pick initial system based on how migrate away it?
