Writing one client for IOS and Android based devices -


this question asked year ago , want ask again earlier answer not straightforward :-). hoping have clarity on now.

my question relates best way develop single client ios , android based devices simple data entry type application.the app not use device specific features gps, camera etc following understanding , feel free correct or add:

  1. html5/javascript based client best (ie write once run everywhere perspective) long device has connection central web server.
  2. for native ios/android device clients not clear sdk should used. need have offline data entry capability in client, in case device disconnected later sync-up server. again looking write once run everywhere type of client.
  3. is xml/rpc based interaction best way device client communicate central web server.
  4. asusming develop ios based client smartphone, work required run on ipad . mean whether can done via (xml ?) config or require development separately.

go phonegap. it's best option developing smartphone apps complaint sorts of mobile browsers. far frameworks concerned, can choose snencha touch or jquery mobile.
